I've had the privilege to work with Denise at both the Westin Kauai and the Grand Wailea. I've been out of touch for a very long time and am saddened to hear of her passing. I'll never will forget her friendship, her caring for others, and especially her laugh. She's the only person that I know that would throw a GM or Director out of her office! Denise was such a wonderful person to know and work with for the relatively short time my family and I knew since the beginning of my involvement at Grand Wailea in 2013 to the last time I saw her just a few days ago. She always gave you her honest thoughts, worked incredibly hard and cared so much about her team at the Hotel, always doing what she felt was right for the employees, her friends and the Hotel ownership. It was such an honor knowing her and working with her. I enjoyed our long talks about family, work and everything else. She always made me look forward to heading down towards the loading dock as soon as I arrived on each visit and every day I was there. She spoke about her family often and our mutual Georgia and Savannah roots. We will all miss her horribly and I am so sorry for your loss.
